  • Aviation Video: Airbus A330-300 - Northwest Airlines25/11/2009Takeoff from Amsterdam aboard Northwest flight 47 to Detroit. Flight time short 8hrs15min. So far the best transatlantic flight I've had, mainly due to the AVOD system on board, and the short immigration lines at Detroit upon arrival. We landed approximately 7pm. right when the sun was setting.
  • Aviation Video: Douglas DC-9 - Northwest Airlines25/11/2009Very nice takeoff and climbout aboard this '74 DC9-32 (N949N). The DC9 is by far my favorite aircraft! Takeoff roll was only about 20seconds...Apologies for the shaking camera, but we had a bumpy climbout. Great sounds though!
  • Aviation Video: Airbus A330-300 - Northwest Airlines25/11/2009One of the nicest of all transatlantic flights nearing its completion after spending 8hrs in the air. Very smooth approach although the pilot seemed to be using a lot of aileron. Touchdown was a little rough.
  • Aviation Video: McDonnell Douglas DC-9 - Northwest Airlines25/11/2009You would have to have at least 500watt speakers on full volume to even come close to the noise level in the back of this 1968-made DC-9-41. Nonetheless one of the nicest flights I've been on. Gotta love the PW JTD engines. Includes engine start-up, powerback, takeoff, and landing clips.
