    <P>■ Australia has finalised contracts for its Boeing C-17 Globemaster III and Lockheed Martin AGM-158 Joint Air to Surface Stand-off (JASSM) missile acquisitions. The four-aircraft C-17 deal is worth $780 million, with the first aircraft to be delivered in November. Australia has also signed an $80.7 million support contract to link the aircraft's service support to the USAF's Globemaster III sustainment partnership programme. The JASSM order is worth $87.4 million. Deliveries are due to be completed by December 2011 to equip its upgraded Boeing F/A-18A/B Hornet fighters. </P> <P>■ Poland wants to buy two AAI RQ-7B Shadow 200 unmanned air vehicle systems for intelligence gathering under a proposed $73 million deal notified to US Congress on 27 July.     <UL> <LI>The US Air Force has awarded Northrop Grumman a $60.6 million contract to acquire long-lead items for six RQ-4B Global Hawk unmanned air vehicles, plus three mission control and launch and recovery elements. </LI> <LI>The UK Ministry of Defence will award Qinetiq a three-year contract worth more than £20 million ($37 million) to provide airworthiness, safety and operational analysis test services for its Eurofighter Typhoons. </LI> <LI>AAI is to produce 36 RQ-7B Shadow 200 tactical unmanned air vehicles by March 2008 under an $87 million US Army order.
