China Southern Airlines has applied to Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) to launch two new services to Japan in August.

The carrier is seeking rights to launch a thrice-weekly service on the Changsha-Dalian-Hiroshima route, and a four-times weekly service on the Changsa-Dalian-Fukuoka route.

Both services will be operated using Airbus A320 family aircraft.

CAAC is calling for those with comments to submit them by 22 July.

China Southern will compete with Air China on the legs from Dalian to Fukuoka and Hiroshima.
