Just as the LanChile family has changed its name to LAN, the Grupo Taca family has all become TACA. In April TACA Peru, LACSA, TACA de Honduras, NICA, Aviateca, and TACA International all switched to the name TACA with a designator code of TA. The move is intended to help the TACA members compete with larger carriers.
