MRO provider AAR has signed an agreement to overhaul landing gear on SkyWest Airlines’ fleet of Embraer E175 regional jets.

The Miami-based company says the deal follows a competitive bidding process, and adds that it already services landing gear on SkyWest’s Embraer EMB-120 turboprops.

The agreement follows an announcement last year that Liebherr, the Toulouse-based company that makes the landing gear on Embraer E-Jets, had entered a deal to provide AAR with access to its technical documentation database.

SkyWest, headquartered in Saint George (Utah), operates 10 E175s and has orders for an additional 30 of the aircraft, according to Flightglobal’s Ascend Fleets database.

The regional carrier also has orders for 100 E175 E2s.
