Abertis has sold its stake in Colombia's Cali airport to Spanish airport operator Aena for €4 million ($5.3 million).

The purchase doubles Aena's stake in Aerocali, the concessionaire of Cali airport, to two-thirds.

Cali is Colombia's third-busiest airport, with approximately four million passengers per annum.

The deal marks the latest in a string of divestments by Abertis as the operator seeks to shed airport holdings to reduce debt.

In July, Abertis sold its 90% stake in London Luton airport to Aena for €502 million, and 90% stakes in Stockholm Skavsta and Belfast International - plus an Orlando Sanford airport terminal concession and management contracts covering five US airports - to US operator ADC & HAS Airports Worldwide, for €284 million.
