Greek carrier Aegean Airlines has renewed the lease of an Airbus A320 with Global Aircraft Fund 1 in a transaction arranged by aircraft asset management company Amentum.

The aircraft (MSN 3316) with V2527-A5 engines was built in 2007, according to Amentum, which confirms the deal.

The transaction follows the extension of the lease of another A320 (MSN 3162) in March this year. The A320 was initially placed under an operating lease contract in July 2011.

Amentum says that both aircraft have new extensions onto longer-term leases with Aegean Airlines now.
