Aegean Airlines' international traffic in May-June was up 23% on the same period of 2012.

The Greek airline carried more than 800,000 passengers, and saw strong traffic growth at its bases at Athens (up 15%), Thessaloniki (23%), Heraklion (34%) and Rhodes (40%), and from airports where it operates just one aircraft, such as Corfu (19%), Kos (155%) and Kalamata (274%).

Aegean attributes the increase to its network expansion, which has brought the launch of 32 new international routes since May-June 2012.
