Aer Arann has extended its franchise agreement with Aer Lingus until 2022.
The renewed contract allows Aer Arann to continue operating services for the Irish flag carrier under the Aer Lingus Regional brand.
As part of the agreement, Aer Arann will also launch new routes from Dublin to Birmingham and Manchester.
Frequencies on its Dublin services to Edinburgh and Glasgow will further be increased, with both routes rising from four to six times daily.
Aer Arann says it will receive eight new ATR 72-600s between May 2013 and summer 2014, replacing its older ATR 72-200s and ATR 42s.
