Aer Lingus passenger traffic up 5.1% in June

Irish flag carrier Aer Lingus recorded a 5.1% year-on-year increase in passenger traffic for June.

Capacity increased 0.3% as passenger load factor for the month rose 3.8 percentage points to 82.6%.

Long-haul traffic increased by 11.8% while short-haul traffic increased by 1.8%.

Aer Lingus recorded a 2% year-on-year rise in overall passenger numbers to 918,000 in June. Passenger numbers on short-haul routes increased by 0.1%, while long-haul passenger numbers were up 12.5%.

Passenger numbers at Aer Lingus Regional grew 41.8% to 95,000.
