Operating lessor AerCap has amended the terms of two 1999-vintage Airbus A319 leases, on behalf of Genesis Funding.

According to Flightglobal's Ascend Online database, the A319s are on lease to Ecuador’s TAME.

The first aircraft (MSN 0946) was placed with the carrier in April this year on a six-year lease. The second aircraft (MSN 0949) was placed in 2012 on a seven-year lease with to February 2019.

On 8 October, AerCap shortened the lease-term of the first aircraft to February 2017 and allowed the lease of an additional A320 (MSN 1500) aircraft until February 2019, says ratings agency Moody's.

The A320, a 2001-vintage aircraft, is in operation with China’s Sichuan Airlines.

Moody's says the amendment will not result in a reduction, withdrawal, or placement under review for possible downgrade of the ratings currently assigned to the Series 2006-1 notes issued by Genesis Funding.
