Aerolineas Argentinas has taken delivery of two new Boeing 737-800s from operating lessors AWAS and CIT Aerospace.

Dublin-based AWAS placed one 737-800 (MSN 39436) on 25 January, and US-based CIT Aerospace has delivered the first (MSN 41560) of four aircraft under a mandate.

SkyTeam member Aerolineas also plans the take delivery of the first of six 737-800s from Air Lease this year.

Last year, that Californian lessor disclosed an agreement with the Argentinian carrier for deliveries scheduled between November 2014 and February 2016. The aircraft will be on 12-year leases.
