German cargo carrier AeroLogic has contracted MTU to provide support for the General Electric GE90-110B engines of its Boeing 777F fleet.

The long-term maintenance agreement is on an exclusive basis and is worth more than $200 million, says MTU. It covers the eight-strong 777F fleet as well as spare engines.

AeroLogic is a 50:50 joint venture between Lufthansa Cargo and Deutsche Post-owned DHL Express. Lufthansa Technik does not have overhaul capability for the GE90 family.

MTU's maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility in Hannover has supported the model since 2010.
