Mexican regional airline Aeromar anticipates that its first ATR 72-600 will arrive in Mexico in May.
Aeromar is leasing two 68-seat ATR 72s from Air Lease Corporation with handovers in April and May. The turboprops will replace its four ATR 42-300 aircraft.
Fabricio Cojuc, executive-vice president and chief planning and commercial officer effective at Aeromar, confirms the delivery timeline today.
The carrier also continues to look for additional used 50-seat Bombardier CRJ200s. Availability of the type with low hours and low cycles remains limited, Cojuc told Flightglobal at the Routes Americas 2013 forum in February.
Aeromar has four ATR 42-300s, 10 ATR 42-500s and two CRJ200s in its fleet.
