Aeromexico Connect has introduced the first Embraer 170 aircraft in its fleet after agreeing an operating lease contract with Republic Airways Holdings in a transaction arranged by Skyworld Aviation.
The three aircraft, all powered by General Electric CF34-8C5 engines, were built in 2004 and 2005.
The first aircraft, MSN 17000019, was delivered on 19 June. The second aircraft MSN 17000042, is scheduled for delivery next while while the third aircraft, MSN 17000046, will join later this year.
Aeromexico Connect operates 38 ERJ-145s along with 17 E-190s. The Mexican regional carrier is due to take two E-190s from Air Lease Corporation this summer and has another 15 aircraft on option.
Last September Republic appointed Skyworld Aviation and DVB Bank to sell four Embraer E190s, which were built in 2008.
