Aeromexico has posted a 0.4% decline in passenger traffic in December compared to the same period a year earlier, coupled with a 2.5% increase in capacity.
The load factor declined 2.2 percentage points year-on-year to 75.9%, says the carrier. The group transported 1.28 million passengers in December, down 1.3% year-on-year.
Domestic traffic decreased by 1.9%, while capacity increased by 1.2% year-on-year, as the domestic load factor decreased 2.3 percentage points to 74.5%.
International traffic rose 0.5% and capacity increased by 3.4%, with the international load factor decreasing by 2.1 percentage points to 76.8%.
For the year 2012, passenger traffic rose 3.7% and capacity grew 6%.
The load factor fell 1.8 percentage points to 76.6%. The group transported 14.8 million passengers in 2012, up 3.3% year-on-year, adds Aeromexico.
