Aeromexico has posted a 2.9% increase in passenger traffic in July compared to a year earlier, on the back of a 7.2% increase in capacity.
Load factor declined 3.5 percentage points to 83.4%, says the carrier. The group transported 1.43 million passengers in July, up 3.2% year-on-year.
Domestic traffic grew by 4.5% and capacity by 9.3% year-on-year, as the domestic load factor decreased 4.3 percentage points to 80.3%.
International traffic grew 2% and capacity increased by 5.8%, with the international load factor down 2.9 percentage points to 85.4%.
On a year-to-date basis, passenger traffic rose 6% and capacity grew 7.1%.
Load factor fell 1.1 percentage points to 77.8% year-to-date, adds Aeromexico.
