Aerosonde North America displayed a prototype Mk4.1 Aerosonde UAV with blended winglets at ParcAberporth. The new wing is being jointly developed with Lockheed Martin and is intended to improve air vehicle aerodynamic performance.

The Mk4.1 vehicle has a 3m (10ft) wingspan and can operate for over 30h with a 4.5kg (10lb) payload at altitudes up to 20,000ft, covering a distance of over 2,000nm, says Aerosonde.

A proposed transatlantic freight delivery demonstration at ParcAberporth using an Aerosonde UAV did not proceed due to cost.
