Greece's Sky Wings Airlines has become Aerostar's first Airbus A320 MRO customer.

The Romanian aerospace manufacturer and maintenance provider was approved by EASA in May to service A320-family aircraft, having already supported Boeing 737s as well as BAE Systems 146s and Avro regional jets.

Sky Wings Airlines's A320 is undergoing a C-check, including landing gear replacement and implementation of airworthiness directives and service bulletins.

The work is being carried out in Aerostar's 5,000m² (53,800ft²) hangar in Bacau, which was opened in May to double the company's MRO capacity.
