Kazakh flag carrier Air Astana has taken delivery of its first A321 directly ordered from Airbus.

The aircraft, which is equipped with International Aero Engines V2500 engines, dates from a 2008 order for six A320-family narrowbodies. It is configured in a two-class layout with 28 business-class seats and 151 in economy.

Air Astana already operates 10 A320-family jets - one A319, seven A320s and two A321s, it says.
