Air Berlin and Air Seychelles have extended their codeshare agreement to include the latter's domestic flights to the Seychelles' second-largest island, Praslin.

The two airlines - both part-owned by UAE-based Etihad Airways - started co-operating in February, on flights from Germany via Abu Dhabi to the Seychelles' largest island, Mahé.

That initial arrangement covered four weekly Air Berlin flights from the German capital, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt and Munich to Abu Dhabi.

But this partnership has now been extended to include Air Seychelles' intra-island services from Mahé to Praslin.

Etihad holds a 29.21% stake in Air Berlin, and a 40% stake in Air Seychelles.
