Air Berlin and American Airlines have expanded their codeshare agreement to include Montreal and Toronto, via New York JFK.

Under the contract, Air Berlin will place its code on American Airlines-operated flights from JFK to Montreal and Toronto. Air Berlin passengers will be able to connect to the services from Berlin Tegel and Dusseldorf.

For the winter schedule of 2011/12, the carriers will offer four times weekly service from Dusseldorf and thrice-weekly from Berlin to the Canadian destinations, via New York.
