Air Berlin and Pegasus are planning to enter a partnership that would see two aircraft dedicated to providing charter flights between Germany and Turkey.
An Air Berlin spokeswoman said it is too early to disclose any details about the planned partnership, but the aim is to make two aircraft exclusively available for charters between the two countries.
It is unclear whether they would be Air Berlin or Pegasus aircraft.
The two carriers plan to implement the partnership on 1 November 2011.
Separately, Air Berlin and Pegasus have extended their codeshare agreement to include six new routes.
The agreement will now cover flights to Istanbul from Dusseldorf, Cologne/Bonn, Munich and Berlin.
It will also extend to domestic Turkish routes from Istanbul to Izmir and Ankara.
