Air Berlin load factor down 0.7pp in August

Air Berlin posted load factor of 84.5% in August, marking a 0.7 percentage point reduction on the same month in 2011.

The German airline saw a 5% year-on-year decline in passenger numbers to 3.57 million for the month, while its capacity fell by 4.2%.

Year-to-date, Air Berlin's load factor increased 1.2 percentage points to 79.3%. It carried 5.3% fewer passengers while cutting capacity by 6.8%.
