Air Canada will finance its new Boeing 777-300ER aircraft via a $606 million private offering for two tranches of enhanced equipment trust certificates (EETC).

The Montreal-based carrier expects to receive five new Boeing 777-300ER aircraft between June 2013 and February 2014.

Canada ratified the Cape Town treaty in December, which allows Canadian airlines to have more options for aircraft financing.
