Air China Cargo has filed an application with the US Department of Transportation (DOT) to start all-cargo services between Shanghai Pudong International airport and Frankfurt-Hahn Airport, with stops at Chicago’s O’Hare International airport and New York’s John F. Kennedy International airport.

The carrier intends to begin the service around 1 July and would operate them with Boeing 777 freighter aircraft, regulatory filings show.

Air China has a permit to fly between Beijing, Guangzhou and Shanghai in China to the USA, through a connecting point in Japan. The US cities the carrier permitted to fly to include Chicago, Dallas, Honolulu, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland and New York.
