Air China's passenger traffic up 2.3% in February

Chinese flag carrier Air China has posted a 2.3% increase in its RPKs in February this year compared with the same month last year.

Its international and domestic passenger traffic, as measured in RPKs, grew by 1.1% and 3.4% respectively.

Air China's passenger capacity, as measured in ASKs, was up by 5.1% year on year.

Its domestic capacity increased by 8.2%, while its international capacity rose by 0.8%, the airline said.

The airline's passenger load factor for the month declined by 2.1 percentage points to 77.3%.

Its revenue freight tonne kilometres (RFTK) increased by 11.5%, while its freight tonnage carried increased by 18.3% to 76,400t.

The airline's cargo capacity, as measured in available freight tonne kilometres (AFTK), grew by 4%, while its cargo load factor climbed by 3.4 percentage points year on year to 50.5%.
