Air France is in the market with a request for proposals (RFP) covering three aircraft scheduled for delivery this year.
The carrier approached financiers requesting purchase and leaseback proposals for two Airbus A320s and one Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
The carrier is taking delivery of five A320s this year. Three aircraft are under operating leases from AerVenture and are scheduled for delivery in April and May. The remaining two aircraft are scheduled for March and June.
The 777-300ER is the one of the three aircraft of the type planned for delivery this year.
Last month, the Air France-KLM Group announced plans to generate €700 million ($898 million) in sale and leaseback transactions under its new 2012-14 transformation plan, with €500 million targeted this year.
According to Flightglobal's Ascend Online database, Air France has 18 aircraft on order through 2014: five A320s to be delivered this year, six A380s scheduled for delivery through July 2013 as well as seven 777-300ERs planned through June 2013.
KLM has two A330-300s scheduled for delivery in the first quarter of this year, with the first aircraft being leased from Air Lease. It also has two 777-300ERs planned for delivery in June and July 2012.
