Passenger load factor at Air France-KLM remained roughly flat in February, falling 0.1 percentage points to 80.4% against the same month in 2012

Passenger traffic and capacity remained flat for the month with the group carrying 5.34 million passengers same as in February 2012.

On the European network including France, traffic growth of 2% was slightly short of the 2.7% extra capacity. This resulted in a fall in load factor of 0.5 percentage points to 68.6%.

Passenger traffic in the Americas decreased 1.8% against capacity cut 0.9%, prompting load factor to fall 0.8 percentage points to 83.8%.

Traffic growth of 4.4% on Asia-Pacific routes outpaced the additional 3.2% of capacity, helping lift load factor one percentage point to 85.4%.

Air France-KLM's cargo traffic declined in line with a 4.2% cut in capacity in February, leaving load factors roughly unchanged at 63.6%.

While the extra day in February 2012 due to the leap year negatively distorted traffic by 3.4%, this was offset by the positive comparison effect due to industrial action at Air France in February 2012.
