Air France-KLM traffic up 2.2% in March

Air France-KLM recorded a 2.2% year-on-year rise in RPK traffic in March, against 0.2% growth in ASK capacity.

This resulted in a 1.7 percentage point increase in load factor to 84.2%.

Passenger numbers for the month rose 1.3% to 6.45 million.

The strongest growth came from Asia, Air France-KLM says, with traffic rising 5.1% and load factor up 0.2 percentage points to 86.9%.

Traffic in Europe rose by 1.8% against a capacity reduction of 2.5%. This resulted in a 3.2 percentage point increase in load factor to 75.1%.

Globally, cargo traffic declined 12.1% on capacity reductions of 6.6%. The load factor fell by 4.1 points to 65.1%.
