Air France is planning to take no more than two Airbus A380s per year over the next three years, stretching the delivery schedule to 2014-15.

The airline - which ordered 12 of the type - took its first two in its last financial year, 2009-10, and a third arrived on 14 April.

But the carrier's latest fleet plan shows that it will introduce one more in the current fiscal year, and a pair in each of 2011-12 and 2012-13.

Three more will arrive in 2013-14 but Air France lists 2014-15 as the delivery date for the final aircraft.

This schedule contrasts with the tighter plan a year ago under which the carrier would have taken 10 by 2011-12, including four in the current year, and the final pair in 2012-13.

Air France is using the aircraft on routes to New York and Johannesburg, and intends to introduce a short-term series of flights between Paris and London.
