Air Greenland has acquired a 25% share in Icelandic charter and air taxi specialist Norlandair in return for the investment of the last of its de Havilland Canada Twin Otters.

The move is in part driven by Air Greenland's desire to operate fewer aircraft types and leaves it with a fleet of predominantly Bombardier Dash 7 and Dash 8 aircraft.

Air Greenland chief financial officer, Mogens Jensen, and charter director, Hans Peter Hansen, have joined Norlandair's board, the latter as chairman.
