Air India has mandated a German bank and an aviation asset manager on the back of its request for proposals for sale and leaseback financing covering seven Boeing 787s, market sources indicate.
The bank will purchase three 787s, while the asset manager will buy the four remaining units, say sources.
The aircraft in Air India's 12-year RFP are manufacturer's serial numbers 36276, 36277, 36278, 36281, 36282, 36283 and 36284, market sources say.
According to Flightglobal's Ascend Online database, six units are already in the fleet and one aircraft (MSN 36284) will be delivered on 15 July.
