Myanmar's domestic carrier Air KBZ has received the first of two new ATR 72-600s under an operating lease contract with Nordic Aviation Capital.
The aircraft (MSN 1068) was handed over on 30 January in Toulouse.
Nordic Aviation Capital also entered into an agreement with Air KBZ for a second ATR 72-600 aircraft, which will be delivered in June.
"The acquisition of these two new aircraft via Nordic Aviation Capital is integral to our network expansion from our regional hubs," says Air KBZ deputy managing director Khin Maung Myint.
The Yangon-based regional carrier, which already operates four ATR 72-500s in Myanmar, says it will further develop its regional network by adding new routes and increasing frequencies.
