US lessor Air Lease has signed lease agreements for 11 additional twin-aisle aircraft, comprising Airbus A330-200s, A330-300s and Boeing 777-300ERs.

The California-based company in a statement says it has entered into lease agreements with Vietnam Airlines through 2019 covering two new A330-200s delivering in October and November 2011.

Air Lease has also acquired an A330-200 (MSN 1138) on lease to Sichuan Airlines through 2022, and inked a lease agreement with KLM through 2020 for a new A330-300 scheduled for delivery in February 2012.

Air France, meanwhile, has leased a Boeing 777-300ER (MSN 35542) from Air Lease through 2019. This follows a new Boeing 777-300ER leased to Air France by the lessor and delivered in December 2010.

Additionally, Air Lease and Alitalia have entered into 12-year lease agreements for three new A330-200 aircraft delivering in April, May, and September of this year, while Air Austral has leased a new Boeing 777-300ER from Air Lease through 2019, says the firm.

Air Lease also says Hawaiian Airlines has signed a 12-year lease for a new A330-200 delivering mid-2012, and that it has acquired a Boeing 777-300ER (MSN 35254) on lease to Air Canada through 2021.

"These twin-aisle lease placements fit [Air Lease's] growth plan which includes broadening our global customer base and fleet with a prudent, measured quantity of new or young high demand A330-200/300 and 777-300ER twin-aisle aircraft," said John Plueger, president and COO of Air Lease.
