Air Lituanica is set to expand its fleet this summer with an Embraer 175 aircraft that was previously operated by Brazilian carrier TRIP, confirms ECC Leasing.
The Lithuanian start-up carrier, which is expected to start services on 30 June with flights to Brussels from its hub Vilnius, has agreed to lease an E-175LR (MSN 17000017) that was built in 2003.
In its first year of operations Air Lituanica plans to serve Amsterdam, Berlin, Prague, Munich and Moscow with an Embraer mixed fleet leased from Estonian Air and ECC Leasing.
It agreed to lease an E-170 from Estonian Air earlier this month for the start of operations.
Air Lituanica plans to grow its fleet to up to five regional aircraft, serving 12 destinations from Vilnius by 2016.
