Air New Zealand plans to increase its capacity into the North American destinations of Los Angeles, San Francisco and Vancouver from Auckland.
The carrier will boost its flights between Auckland and Los Angeles to 14 return services per week from mid-June. The additional Los Angeles services will be operated with a combination of Boeing 777-200 and 777-300 aircraft.
ANZ will deploy Boeing 747-400 aircraft on the Auckland-San Francisco route, operating the service five times a week from April and will move to a daily service during peak demand times.
In addition, the airline will increase its flights between Auckland and Vancouver to five times a week over the peak December-February period using 777-200 aircraft. Previously, this route was operated between two and four times a week depending on seasonal demand, the airline said.
