Air New Zealand has posted a 2.2% year-on-year rise in its overall passenger traffic, as measured in RPKs, for July.
The carrier's short-haul RPKs increased by 5.7% while long-haul RPKs decreased by 0.9%.
The airline carried 1.08 million passengers in July, an increase of 4.2% year on year.
The carrier's short-haul passenger numbers increased by 4.9% to 958,000, while its long-haul passenger numbers fell by 1.1% to 123,000.
Its total capacity, as measured in ASKs, fell by 1%, with a 4.1% increase in short-haul capacity and a 5.6% decrease in long-haul capacity.
The carrier's overall passenger load factor increased by 2.7 percentage points to 85.5%, while its short-haul passenger load factor rose by 1.2 percentage points to 82.3% and long-haul passenger load factor rose by 4.1 percentage points to 88.5%.
The airline's group-wide yields for the financial year to date increased 0.9% year on year. Short-haul yields fell by 1%, while long-haul yields rose 1.8%. Removing the impact of foreign exchange, group-wide yields increased 2.7%.
