Fijian flag carrier Air Pacific is in the market with a request for proposals for export credit agency-backed financing to cover Airbus A330-200 aircraft, say financiers.

The UK's Export Credit Guarantees Department is heading the financing, says a banker.

The carrier will take delivery of a total of three Airbus A330-200 aircraft next year, according to Flightglobal's Ascend Online database.

Separately, the carrier has unveiled a new logo that will accompany its relaunch as Fiji Airways next year.

The carrier is dropping its bright colours for a brown brandmark, to be painted on the three new Airbus A330s that will enter its fleet starting next March.

It will also revert to its 1951 name of Fiji Airways as it enters the final phase of its re-branding and restructuring next year. The full re-branding is due to be complete by end 2013.
