Air Pacific has picked the companies that will help it to furnish its three new Airbus A330-200 aircraft.

SIA Engineering Co (SIAEC) will be responsible for the cabin design and functionality of the aircraft. It will design the A330 interiors and conduct the specifications and quality inspections of the aircraft prior to their entry into service, says the Fijian carrier.

Panasonic Avionics will install their eX2 in-flight entertainment system on the A330s while Zodiac subsidiary Weber Aircraft will provide the economy and business class seats.

The aircraft will be delivered in March 2013 and will fly to Fiji from Sydney, Auckland, Hong Kong and Los Angeles.

The carrier is preparing to relaunch itself as Fiji Airways in 2013 as part of a plan to "revitalise itself" and will carry the new brand on the A330s.
