Fiji's Air Pacific has been formally relaunched under the new Fiji Airways brand.
"Our team has been working exceptionally hard for the last 14 months since we made the announcement that we were going to rename Air Pacific as Fiji Airways," says Fiji Airways chairman Nalin Patel.
"We've created a new brand, and with that a new legacy in our two new, state-of-the-art [Airbus] A330-200s which we have already welcomed in to our current fleet. We very much look forward to arrival of our third A330 in November this year, and the rebrand and refresh of our current fleet of [Boeing] 737s."
Flightglobal's Ascend Online database shows that Fiji Airways operates a fleet of two A330-200s, two Boeing 747-400s, three 737-800s and one 737-700s. The airline plans to phase out its 747s later this year once its final A330 arrives.
