Air Panama has become the fourth operator in the Americas to sign up for the FLYFokker support programme for its two newly-acquired Fokker 70 aircraft.

As part of the FLYFokker Take Off programme Fokker Services provides, among other services, onsite technical training and a modification to change the cabin from a 48- to a 72-seat configuration.

The airline has also agreed to join Fokker Services' Abacus programme, covering all major rotables, APUs, landing gear and brakes.

Both Fokker 70s have been deployed since early June on domestic routes, replacing Air Panama's Saab 340Bs and single Bombardier Q300.
