Air Seychelles has been granted government approval to launch flights to Hong Kong, with the inaugural flight taking place on 24 March 2013.

The thrice weekly service - which includes a stopover in Abu Dhabi - will take to the skies one month later than previously announced.

It will be operated by the second wet-leased Airbus A330 to enter Air Seychelles' fleet, due for delivery "in early 2013", the carrier says.

Etihad Airways, which owns a 40% stake in Air Seychelles, is providing both A330s under a sub-wet-lease agreement facilitated by ILFC.
