Air Vallée has unveiled plans to base two Embraer E-Jets at Parma airport and has added three new routes from the site.

The Italian carrier said it will put the 76-seat E-170 and 98-seat E-190 into service at the airport from spring 2012.

The move came as it announced a new daily service to Catania in Sicily, starting on 14 January, and an as-yet unspecified service to Bucharest, which is expected to start on 31 March.

A third new destination is Paris Charles de Gaulle, to which it will operate a twice-daily service from 31 March, the carrier said.
