Air Wisconsin flight attendants represented by the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA approved a strike at the US Airways Express carrier today.

The chaos strike was authorised by 97.3% of the flight attendants who voted. A chaos action allows the union to target specific flights or conduct a systemwide walk out.

"Air Wisconsin flight attendants are focused on our future and it is time for management to move forward on a new, improved contract," says Brenda Barrall, AFA Air Wisconsin president, in a statement.

Air Wisconsin did not comment by press time.

A National Mediation Board 30-day cooling off period must occur before a strike could take place.
