AirAsia Group has reported 9% year-on-year growth in its passenger traffic, as measured in RPKs, for 2012.
For the twelve months ended 31 December, passenger capacity, as measured in ASKs, increased by 9%, while the number of passengers carried grew by 13% to 33.8 million. The load factor for the year remained flat at 80%.
Malaysia AirAsia reported 8% year-on-year growth in passenger traffic, while passenger capacity rose by 9%. Its load factor was flat at 80%, with passenger numbers up by 9% to 19.7 million.
Thai AirAsia posted 17% year-on-year growth in passenger traffic, while its passenger capacity rose by 14%. The carrier's load factor grew by 2 percentage points to 82%, as passenger numbers grew by 21% to 8.3 million.
Indonesia AirAsia reported a 5% increase in passenger traffic, while passenger capacity grew by 6%. Load factor remained flat at 77%, while passenger numbers increased by 17% to 5.85 million.
