Malaysia-based low cost carrier AirAsia has resumed flights between Kuala Lumpur and the southern Thai city of Hat Yai.

It is operating daily on the route, using Airbus A320 aircraft.

"There has been a demand for AirAsia to connect Hat Yai to Kuala Lumpur, and we are excited to fulfill this demand of an unserved market," says AirAsia's regional commercial head Kathleen Tan.

The airline is the only carrier operating between Kuala Lumpur and Hat Yai, according to schedules in Innovata.
