AirAsia X will raise frequency on the Kuala Lumpur-Osaka Kansai route from four to seven times a week on 25 November.
The carrier will use Airbus A330-300 aircraft on the additional service.
"AirAsia X is responding to the strong and growing travel demand to and from Osaka, Japan. The airline has recorded on average 81% passenger load in the first half of 2013, proving the strong demand for the route since the commencement of its inaugural flight in November 2011," says the carrier's chief executive Azran Osman-Rani. "The timings of the new additional frequencies would further provide our guests from Malaysia and the surrounding region to Osaka and from Kansai region to Southeast Asia and beyond the flexibility in their travel with better connectivity."
Innovata schedules show that AirAsia X competes with Malaysia Airlines on the Kuala Lumpur-Osaka Kansai route.
