Airbus's latest list of A320neo firm orders appears to indicate that Kuwaiti lessor ALAFCO is the undisclosed customer for 35 of the type.

The airframer's regular monthly update, to the end of 2011, revealed an order for 35 A320neos signed on 20 December but did not identify the customer.

But Airbus's website features a revised list of firm orders for the re-engined type which puts 85 against ALAFCO, 35 more than previously stated.

The revised list does not show any undisclosed customers for the type.

ALAFCO tentatively agreed to take 30 A320neos during the Paris air show last June. When it firmed the deal in mid-November, however, it added a further 20, giving it 50 - all powered by Pratt & Whitney PW1100G engines.

At the time the lessor said it would also place options on another 30 A320neos, and intended to finalise a firm order for these by the end of 2011. It has yet to state whether it is the unidentified customer behind the 35 jets.

ALAFCO had been nearing the completion of deliveries of 26 baseline A320s previously ordered by the Kuwaiti company.

Airbus has firm orders for 1,256 A320neos. CFM International's Leap engine will power 465 of these, while the PW1100G will be installed on 410. No engine choice has been made for the other 381.
