Qantas Airways' confirmation that its sixth Airbus A380 will not arrive until 2010 means that the airframer will achieve 10 deliveries of the type this year.
Emirates has brought in three this year - its latest, the seventh in the fleet, was deployed on the Paris route two days ago - while Singapore Airlines took four, taking its fleet to 10.
Qantas Airways took delivery of two, giving it five in total, while Air France acquired its first.
At the beginning of this year Airbus had been aiming to deliver 18 A380s but the figure has been reduced by production issues and airline deferrals. Last year the airframer delivered 12 of the type.
Airbus is set to detail its overall 2009 performance on 12 January 2010.
